After more than 25 years of experience working in the culinary industry, Mike Davies decided to embark on an adventure that would give him more time with his family and allow him to employ his full range of creative skills. Thus, Press On Sandwich Crafters was launched in 2014. 

Press On is more than a sandwich shop. Over the years, it has become a social hub and haven for North Stonington locals and travelers alike. Mike is a famous multitasker-- somehow able to carry five conversations at once with customers, all while crafting the most incredible sandwiches in the area. From scratch.

The business is a family affair. It is not uncommon to find Mike working alongside one of his kids, or his wife and Press On co-owner, Jody. An eclectic group of family friends round out the team.

The name "Press On" has a dual meaning. Yes, the sandwiches are pressed, but the name is primarily derived from Philippians 3:14- I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
